Geylang is a major city in Singapore which has a great history. It is boarded by great sceneries that involves rivers. It is famous with coconut trees end-to-end of the boarders of River kallang. The city’s name (Geylang) is so musical in the antiquity and early geographical maps. The name Geylang originates from the name geylanggan which means to twist in a local language.
One of the developments observed in Geylang city, revolves around one of the main roads known as Geylang road. The road is a major land mark that leads towards the city center. Other major landmarks include microbusinesses that were founded by Indians, Chinese as well as Malay. This includes mechanical and repair workshops, wood suppliers, carpentry workshops among many others.
The city is also blessed to have a number of major industries that deals with materials like, roofing tiles, plastics as well as rubber just to mention a few. In connection to this, the city has active mosques, temples as well as churches where worshipers gather for spiritual nourishment.
The Geylang region comprises of north and south segments which are separated by the famous Geylang Road. Geylang road has a stretch of over three kilometers in which perpendicular lanes extends from the main highway. The lanes on the northern side of the road are named Lorong 1, Lorong 3, Lorong 5 on and on in odd numbers. The ones on the southern side are named in even numbers for instance Lorong 2, Lorong 4 and so on.
Conclusion.
Major projects have come up since 1970s in the city of Geylang that have given Singapore a total new face. The projects have led to the city accommodating numerous foreigners who come to work there.

I received wonderful service from Jimmy. He reached our location at the agreed timing and proceeded to analyse the situation with our broken lock and explained how he will fix the problem. When we enquired more on the different lock models available for replacement, he was not pushy and explained the pros and cons of each model. In the end, we selected what we thought suited us best. Great & prompt service and I feel very lucky that I found this shop from google! Our main door lock suddenly got spoiled which caused unable me to get in the house on sunday morning. I was exhausted and tired after long walk and grocery shopping. They promptly helped to open the door and replace new one at reasonable price. Not over & hard selling and it's in fact cheaper than other 2 places that I compared. They explained well whats wrong and how they are going to fix it. Keep up the good work! We were very happy and pleased with David's service. He was very focussed and professional, managed to pry our door open in less than 5 minutes. He even offered us advice on how to ensure that we dont end up locking ourselves out of our bedroom again. Takes pride in his skill and he went the extra mile to help me tighten my wooden door (screws were loose due to fair wear and tear), my padlock and even helped me drill a hole on the floor for my wooden door side panel to secure the door. Fast and efficient service, arrived in my house in 30 minutes and finished unlocking the door in 1 minutes time. I am glad that I am still able to use this door lock after unlocking the door lock. Really recommend for emergency door-unlocking.
