Among the regions hosting major industries in Singapore, sungei kadut is among the leading. Besides being an industrial area, the region is a residential planning area as well. Sungei is strategically located at the Northern region of Singapore with Bukit Panjang and Choa Chu Kang bordering it from the southern area. Mandai region borders Sungei region to the eastern side while Lim Chu Knag from the west together with the western catchment. The name Sungei means river while Kadut means sack cloth in Malay local language. During the second world war, Japanese soldiers entered Singapore through Sungei Kadut at first.
The region has a swamp that extends all the way to Kranji Reservoir. The region has now developed into a major industrial site in Singapore. Industries dealing with furniture making as well as milling stated coming up between the year 1970 and 1980. This boosted the economy of Singapore and played a major role in growing the region. The population began to grow dense as well.
Even though many factories sprung up, some of them became hazardous to the environment. This was because some housed unpreserved combustibles. In connection to this, the government set up a fire fighting station in the region. Since then, numerous cases of fire have been reported in the recent past. This has so far made it impossible for MRT trains to continue with their operations. Among the numerous fire cases reported, the year 2008 has the worst case. The fire fighters attempted to put of the fire but their attempts were futile. The fire took more than 100 men about four hours to put off. Massive damage was experienced because the fire had spread out widely before the fighters could put it off. The current condition of Sungei Kadut region helps Singapore remain relevant in the world map. This is because of the rapid growth due to upcoming industries as well as other projects.

I received wonderful service from Jimmy. He reached our location at the agreed timing and proceeded to analyse the situation with our broken lock and explained how he will fix the problem. When we enquired more on the different lock models available for replacement, he was not pushy and explained the pros and cons of each model. In the end, we selected what we thought suited us best. Great & prompt service and I feel very lucky that I found this shop from google! Our main door lock suddenly got spoiled which caused unable me to get in the house on sunday morning. I was exhausted and tired after long walk and grocery shopping. They promptly helped to open the door and replace new one at reasonable price. Not over & hard selling and it's in fact cheaper than other 2 places that I compared. They explained well whats wrong and how they are going to fix it. Keep up the good work! We were very happy and pleased with David's service. He was very focussed and professional, managed to pry our door open in less than 5 minutes. He even offered us advice on how to ensure that we dont end up locking ourselves out of our bedroom again. Fast and efficient service, arrived in my house in 30 minutes and finished unlocking the door in 1 minutes time. I am glad that I am still able to use this door lock after unlocking the door lock. Really recommend for emergency door-unlocking.
