Xilin is one of the five subdivisions of Tampines planning area in the West Region of the Republic of Singapore. According to the Singapore Department of Statistics, the district covers 7.75 square kilometers with a population of 1,730 people as of 2018. The department also estimates that 79.8% of the people in Xilin is between 15-64 years. The other subdivisions Tampines are Simei, Tampines West, Tampines East, and Tampines North. Xilin is an estate which is bounded by Xilin avenue to the south, East Coast Parkway to the east, Pan Island Expressway on the north and Upper Changi Road East on the west.
The estate is interconnected by other road networks which cut across the region like Changi Avenue 3 which runs through the middle of the estate to connect Pan Island Expressway with Xilin Avenue. The other road networks in the estate are directly connected to Changi South Avenue 3 which is also connected to Xilinx MRT Station.
Xilin is more of an industrial park than a residential area. There are a lot of company headquarters and trade centers in the region than public housing and amenities. Some of the essential commercial facilities and industrial assembly lines include IBM, The Signature in Changi Business Park, Hitachi and Singapore Expo which is a convention space with several exhibition halls. Xilin MRT Station is one of the main notable features in the region. It is located at the junction of Changi Road Avenue 3, Laguna Golf Green and Xilin Avenue. It was developed as part of the extension of the Downtown MRT Line. There are plans to extend it to the Eastern Region Line by 2025. Xilin MRT Station was announced in 2014, and the development plans are still ongoing. Some sections of the Changi South Avenue 3 will be closed temporarily until the completion of the project. The street level layout of the station is Xilin Districentre and Tanga Logistics Centre. Xilin estate is best suited as a business hub for commercial offices and trade centers because it is well endowed with a network of road infrastructure and a major MRT lines. It is also located near Laguna Golf Green and Tanah Merah Country Club which are excellent compliments for an office location.

I received wonderful service from Jimmy. He reached our location at the agreed timing and proceeded to analyse the situation with our broken lock and explained how he will fix the problem. When we enquired more on the different lock models available for replacement, he was not pushy and explained the pros and cons of each model. In the end, we selected what we thought suited us best. Great & prompt service and I feel very lucky that I found this shop from google! Our main door lock suddenly got spoiled which caused unable me to get in the house on sunday morning. I was exhausted and tired after long walk and grocery shopping. They promptly helped to open the door and replace new one at reasonable price. Not over & hard selling and it's in fact cheaper than other 2 places that I compared. They explained well whats wrong and how they are going to fix it. Keep up the good work! We were very happy and pleased with David's service. He was very focussed and professional, managed to pry our door open in less than 5 minutes. He even offered us advice on how to ensure that we dont end up locking ourselves out of our bedroom again. Fast and efficient service, arrived in my house in 30 minutes and finished unlocking the door in 1 minutes time. I am glad that I am still able to use this door lock after unlocking the door lock. Really recommend for emergency door-unlocking.
