Yio chu Kang is located in the northern East of Singapore. The name links back to a village named Yio Chu Kang. It is famous with various features that include the lush greenery as well as low-density housing units with high-rice community housing located in its southern area. Lim Chu Kang obtained is name from a humble background where the name Kang refers to a river while chu refers to owner or land. The name belonged to a certain clan in the early days.
The clan was under the control of the chu clan hence the name originated from there. After the northern region was fragmented, two regions were obtained after which they were assigned two different leaders. The two leaders originated from the famous kangchu clan. The region has many social amenities and among them is the transport system. Major transport service provider ensures sufficient services. Some of the companies include; Yio Chu Kang bus interchange, Ang Mo Kio bus interchange, Yishun services and Mo Kio bus depot.
The region is also an educational hub with numerous educational centers. The institutions are spread across almost every region of the town providing quality education. These includes primary schools, secondary schools as well as higher learning institutions. The following are some of the institutions based in the region; Presbyterian High School, Yio Chu Kang Secondary School, Anderson Primary School, , Anderson Junior College, ITE College Central and Nanyang Polytechnic. The area has numerous housing estates under which it hosts many locals as well as foreigners and public service workers. These include; Seasons Park, Castle Green Seletar, Hills Estate, Sunrise Garden, Thomson Hills Estate among so many others. The region has achieved a lot in terms of development, modernizations and industrialization. It is now a complete urban region.

I received wonderful service from Jimmy. He reached our location at the agreed timing and proceeded to analyse the situation with our broken lock and explained how he will fix the problem. When we enquired more on the different lock models available for replacement, he was not pushy and explained the pros and cons of each model. In the end, we selected what we thought suited us best. Great & prompt service and I feel very lucky that I found this shop from google! Our main door lock suddenly got spoiled which caused unable me to get in the house on sunday morning. I was exhausted and tired after long walk and grocery shopping. They promptly helped to open the door and replace new one at reasonable price. Not over & hard selling and it's in fact cheaper than other 2 places that I compared. They explained well whats wrong and how they are going to fix it. Keep up the good work! We were very happy and pleased with David's service. He was very focussed and professional, managed to pry our door open in less than 5 minutes. He even offered us advice on how to ensure that we dont end up locking ourselves out of our bedroom again. Fast and efficient service, arrived in my house in 30 minutes and finished unlocking the door in 1 minutes time. I am glad that I am still able to use this door lock after unlocking the door lock. Really recommend for emergency door-unlocking.
